ASSESSMENT

 

Continual formative assessment for learning occurs daily in class. This process informs teachers and the children of their next steps in learning.

 

There are summative assessments in phonics, reading, writing and maths every half term. Following summative assessment new targets are created for the next half term.

 

Assessments are shared with parents in a variety of ways;

  • Tapestry 
  • Reporting weeks
  • Termly/End of Year/End of Key Stage attainment and progress data

 

 

Statutory assessments

 

  • End of Foundation Stage teacher assessments 
  • Year 1 Phonics Screening
  • End of Key Stage 1 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs)
