Nursery & Preschool

Our nursery and preschool department offers a high quality nursery education in an environment where children are loved, nurtured and kept safe. Our team of dedicated Early Years professionals enable children to learn through play in our purpose built nursery and preschool spaces. 

 

We offer children places 15 or 30 hour places from 2 years 9 months or from the following term

 

From 1st April 2024 we will be able to offer funded places for children from their third birthday using the newly implemented funding for working families. To check your eligibility visit the Childcare Choices website.

 

Sessions available are term time only:

Mornings    9.00am - 12 noon - including lunchtime

Afternoons 12 noon - 3.00pm

Full time     9.00am - 3.00pm 

 

The arrangement of sessions enable all children to experience the broad and balanced curriculum.

In line with our Nursery Admission Policy, applications are considered mid way through the term prior to admission.

Parents will be notified in writing by email of an offer.

EXTENDED PROVISION

 

Nursery children are able to attend our Club in the Hub before and after Nursery. For more information, please visit our Club in the Hub page

UNIFORM

 

Nursery children wear the school embroidered sweatshirt and/or polo shirt with Navy leggings or tracksuit bottoms. During the summer months children can wear shorts or school summer dresses.

 

Embroidered uniform is available from the school office or via Skoolkit. Other items can be purchased from any supermarket.

 

We provide children with a legionnaire style cap for outdoor play in hot weather. During the winter months children should have a suitable warm coat, hat and gloves as the children play outside in all weathers. All children should bring a pair of wellies to leave at Nursery during the term.

 

We have a selection of waterproofs for children to wear during water play and wet weather. 

MEALS

 

Lunch is served at 11.30am. Children who attend in the morning or all day have the option to order a school hot lunch or bring a packed lunch. 

 

School lunches are produced by our school caterers HC3s and follow the same menu as the rest of the school. The children have a minimum of three menu options daily. For more information visit HC3S - Menu

 

Meals cost £3.00 daily and are payable weekly by text link on a Friday.

 

For children who require an alternative diet for medical reasons, HC3S can create a menu to meet the needs of the child. For more information visit HC3S - Special Diets. Until such time as the menu has been received by the school, children are required to bring a packed lunch from home.

You may choose to pay for your child to attend from their third birthday or top up their hours in the term following their third birthday.
