This role will be fixed term working with a named child/children in receipt of EHCP funding. The length of contract will be dependent on the linked child/children.

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Love children unconditionally with an unqualified positive regard for all
  • Protect children’s childhood and value every child so that they value and believe in themselves
  • Have previous successful experience of working with children
  • Be able to work within and exemplify our LEAP values and Learning Behaviours
  • Be a real team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
  • Have excellent communication skills, relating well to children, colleagues and parents
  • Have a calm, positive and kind approach
  • Be able to work independently and with initiative
  • Be resilient, flexible, organised and resourceful
  • Have or be studying for NVQ2 or 3 or equivalent
  • Have good academic skills, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C, including Maths and English (or an equivalent qualification demonstrating competency in these areas)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
