L3 EARLY YEARS ASSISTANT

Nursery and Preschool

 

Start date        3rd September 2025

Closing date:   2nd July 2025

Interviews:      4th July 2025

Hours:             30 Hrs a week – 09.00 – 15.00  OR  17.5 Hrs a week 09:00 - 12:30

Salary:             EHCC Grade B 

 

Job/Person Summary

We are a high achieving school, where all children make great progress.  We are seeking an incredible person that has a great interest in supporting outstanding practice to join our thriving teacher lead Nursery and Preschool department.

The successful candidate will:

  • Love children unconditionally with an unqualified positive regard for all
  • Protect children’s childhood and value every child so that they value and believe in themselves
  • Have previous successful experience of working with children
  • Be able to work within and exemplify our LEAP values and Learning Behaviours
  • Be a real team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
  • Have excellent communication skills, relating well to children, colleagues and parents
  • Have a calm, positive and kind approach
  • Be able to work independently and with initiative
  • Be resilient, flexible, organised and resourceful
  • Have to hold approved Level 3 EY qualification
  • Have good academic skills, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C, including Maths and English (or an equivalent qualification demonstrating competency in these areas)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understand confidentiality and safeguarding procedures

Job/Person Summary

This role will be fixed term working with a named child/children in receipt of EHCP funding. The length of contract will be dependent on the linked child/children

CLEANER

 

Location:                 Lee-on-the-Solent Infant and Nursery School - Family Hub

Working hours:       5 hrs per week 6pm – 7pm Mon – Fri

Role type:                Permanent

Start date:                Immediate - Subject to pre employment checks

Salary:                      HCC Grade A – £12.21

Working weeks:      39 weeks per year

At Lee-on-the-Solent Infant and Nursery School we are proud of the extended services we offer.

 

We are looking for a hardworking team player to join our dedicated site team.  The Family Hub is used by our wrap around care Club in the Hub and Early Years Foundation Stage from 7.15am – 6.00pm daily during term time. The Family Hub is also sometimes used during the school holidays for our holiday club.

 

Working hours are 6pm – 7pm each Monday to Friday during term time but some flexibility required to work early mornings to cover team absences and emergencies if needed.

Hours during holiday time may be available based on need.

 

Experience is not necessary as training will be given.  The role will involve lone working and key holder responsibilities.

 

Please note this is a term time post.
